The Prime Minister’s Foreign Policy Advisor O. Och and the Director of the Press Office have clarified that the Reuters interview with Mr. S.Batbold in New York (carried extensively in the Mongolia media and in the NewsWire last week) was “misleading” in that the Prime Minister had not made any categorical mention of the London Stock Exchange being the front runner in the race to be awarded the contract for privatizing and restructuring the Mongolian Stock Exchange. All he had said was that the LSE was among the three present favorites for winning the bid.
